Creator and Head Coach

Jo first stumbled into personal training when he was approached by a teen asking him for fitness advice at the gym. Apprehensive at first he soon realized that his approachability and relatability made it easier for people to engage his services. Having entered the industry full time, he worked at 2 big chain gyms where he accelerated to the roles of Senior Trainer and eventually Team Leader. Throughout this period, he also began conducting various group classes on offer at his gym.

He then traded the chain gym environment for an exciting prospect at a startup local Muay Thai inspired HIIT Circuit as Master Trainer and helped shape the company’s personal training methodology and system. He soon become the Club Manager and supervised the expansion of three more clubs. Eventually holding the title as Franchise Business Manager he oversaw the hiring, conduct, training of staff and maintained the standards of operations and service. Throughout his tenure he implemented many best practice ideas and functions.

However, Jo also noticed a growing gap in the market for circuit offerings to fitness enthusiasts and saw there was a ceiling to how members would progress across the various fitness brands on offer. He questioned how things could be done with each individual’s progress and conceived the idea of Super.Set.Go!. He left the company and collaborated with his partner Jerry to deliver their own answer to getting fit. His vision is to remove the unnecessary gimmick and fad fueled jargon present in the fitness industry and to bring things back to the basics. Jo believes that workouts should be straightforward and to the point like how children would instinctively play at a playground. He envisions a Singapore where fitness knowledge is accessible to more people and not just confined to fitness enthusiasts.

Head of Training and Development

Having the love for sports from an early age, Yohan ventured into football and athletics in his schooling days. Representing his schools’ multiple times in both sports, he had to spend a significant amount of time in the gym and that started his love for fitness. He decided to venture into personal training at California Fitness as a trainer in 2006 and was there until 2012 after which he was scouted by Celebrity Fitness as a Fitness Team Leader until 2017. After more than a decade of working for these companies, he decided to venture on his own as a freelance trainer with a large number of his regular clients following him.

In 2017, he decided to push his limits of strict dieting and training by entering the WBPF’s (World Bodybuilding and Physique Federation) Physique competition for the first time and not only won the tall class category but also the Overall Physique category.

If there’s one thing, he likes his clients to know, it’s the fact that chasing the latest trends or workouts from influencers don’t matter because at the end of the day everyone is unique and respond’s differently to the elements of fitness. Your fitness journey would be so much better if you made it truly your own ‘blueprint’.
